What EcoAlaxy News Channel collects, and what it does not.
EcoAlaxy News Channel (ENC) is a public briefing desk. You can read every allowlisted briefing without an account.
If you only read
The desk stores saved stories, read marks, watch topics, and EcoSage chat history in your browser (localStorage). That does not leave your device. We do not sell it.
If you sign in
Sign-in uses your central EcoAlaxy account. EcoAlaxy News Channel receives its stable account identifier, name, and email to establish a local session. Your profile, account-saved stories and personal notes are stored on the server separately from other EcoAlaxy apps. Saves, notes and your profile bio are private. Your display name may appear beside a comment that you deliberately submit for publication.
If you submit
Headline, body, optional source URL, and optional media are stored so ENC can hold the item for review. Held submissions are not on the public desk. We do not use submissions to train a public model from this page.
Comments and controls
Comments are held for moderation before appearing publicly. Editing a comment returns it to review. Reports hide a comment pending review. You can remove your saves and edit or delete your own comments from your profile. Deleted comments may remain in restricted operational records; removing them from the public page is not a claim of immediate erasure from backups.
Cookies and third parties
Sign-in sets a secure session cookie. Story pages may play YouTube or Vimeo only when the source feed included that media. Type is loaded from Google Fonts. Those third parties have their own policies.
Your rights
You can delete localStorage in your browser. To delete an EcoAlaxy account or a held submission, write to EcoAlaxy through ecoalaxy.com with the subject “ENC privacy”. ENC does not sell personal information.
