ENC · Public record
Corrections
ENC does not rewrite an outlet’s facts. It keeps the record when the outlet changes.
If the source updates a headline or excerpt, ENC keeps the previous passage next to the later one on the story thread. ENC will not pick a winner between outlets.
If ENC itself made a desk error
Examples: wrong original link, a country tag the source did not name, a community item that went live by mistake, or a polish that added a number the feed did not contain. Those are ENC errors. Write through ecoalaxy.com with the subject “ENC correction”, the story URL, and what is wrong. ENC will note the fix on the story when the error is ours.
If the outlet is wrong
That correction belongs to the outlet. ENC will not silently “fix” their reporting. Open their link. Their name stays on the claim.
